Ashley Okwuosa is a reporter on the public health beat based in Toronto. Her stories on immigration, education, politics, and more have been published in The Boston Globe, The Christian Science Monitor, WNYC, Quartz, The Narwhal and others.

She is a graduate of the Columbia Journalism School where she was a recipient of the African Pulitzer fellowship.

Ashley is a 2022 National Magazine Award nominee, and was previously a grantee at The Brown Institute for Media Innovation where she helped build a database of maternal health interventions implemented in Nigeria over the last 30 years.
